My name is Charles Buist, and I am currently an intern for the Conservation Voters of South Carolina.  In addition to interning with CVSC, I am a J.D. candidate at the University of South Carolina School of Law.  I am also a candidate for a Masters in Environmental Law and Policy (M.E.L.P.) at Vermont Law School, which ultimately led me to Conservation Voters of South Carolina.

Growing up along South Carolina’s Coast in Hilton Head and at the College of Charleston, I wanted to intern for CVSC because of my deep connection to the environment. Those years I spent near the coast made me love and appreciate what we have in South Carolina. Now, I use every opportunity to get back to the coast; and I cannot wait to move back.

At CVSC, I’ve been able to foster relationships with like-minded people who truly care about the environment. Although my internship will end this summer, I feel that I have made lifelong friendships.  I look forward to helping whenever and however I can.  That’s what kind of Conservation Voter I am.  What kind are you?
