Under current law in South Carolina, automotive manufacturers cannot sell vehicles directly to consumers and instead must go through a dealer. This bill, H.3777, would allow specific automotive manufacturers to sell vehicles directly to South Carolina consumers. While this isn’t normally the type of legislation CVSC gets involved with, this could result in more electric vehicles and therefore cleaner air.
