As written, this legislation raises serious concerns and mandates a blunt approach to removing unnecessary state regulations with little regard to preserving critical regulations that protect our environment, public health, and safety. This includes tasking an unelected committee to reduce the entire code of regulations by 25%, repealing laws that give agencies the authority to regulate, automatic expiration of regulations every seven years, and a number of other provisions that ultimately make the rulemaking process slower, harder, and more expensive.
