This bill requires advanced, written notice when electric utilities take private property for new energy infrastructure projects through eminent domain and also makes it unlawful for any condemnor to knowingly make false or deceptive statements to private landowners. We believe this adequately protects private property rights and increases transparency into energy projects, while giving communities a forum to voice their concerns.
