Alternative Fuel Tax Credit
Introduced by Rep. Brandon Newton and a long list of bipartisan co-sponsors, the bill will add electricity to the definition of alternative fuel and would add electrical equipment to the definition of eligible property, in relation to the Alternative Fuel Property Income Tax Credit, which allows a taxpayer who owns, leases, or installs property that distributes, dispenses, or stores alternative fuel an income tax credit of 25% of the cost of the property.
