CVSC Releases 2024 General Election Endorsements for Conservation Champions
COLUMBIA, SC—The Board of Directors of Conservation Voters of South Carolina (CVSC) is proud to announce its endorsement of a diverse group of candidates for the SC state legislature for the November 5th general election.
CVSC’s political approach has consistently delivered substantial results. Since 2016, CVSC PAC has invested over $1.5 million in support of conservation candidates in South Carolina. The organization is confident that these endorsed candidates will champion robust policies that protect South Carolina’s natural resources—land, air, and water—and enhance energy independence through diversified energy solutions. This approach supports economic growth and addresses the state’s increasing needs without compromising our cherished natural heritage.
Notable CVSC political successes include the defeat of Senator Lee Bright and the election of Scott Talley in 2016, the defeat of Representative Phyllis Henderson and the election of Bobby Cox in 2018, and the election of Senator Vernon Stephens in an open seat in 2020. CVSC is committed to endorsing candidates prioritizing the conservation and resiliency of South Carolina’s land, air, and water.

CVSC encourages voters to vote early Monday, October 21 to Saturday, November 2. (The polls are Closed on Sunday, October 27th.) Early voting centers are open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the early voting period. Any registered voter can bring their ID and vote early in the county in which they are registered.
