CVSC Endorses Brian Duncan and Brian Hill in South Carolina House GOP Primary Special Elections
COLUMBIA, SC—Conservation Voters of South Carolina (CVSC) proudly announces its endorsements of Brian Duncan for South Carolina House District 88 and Brian Hill for House District 98 in their upcoming Republican primaries.
Both candidates reflect CVSC’s commitment to advancing conservation-minded leadership in the General Assembly by recognizing that protecting South Carolina’s natural resources is closely tied to the health, safety, and prosperity of our communities.
Brian Duncan, running for House 88, formerly held by RJ May in Lexington County, brings real-life experience of what pollution can do to groundwater. Growing up, he often joined his father as he sampled groundwater across South Carolina for work. Those experiences shaped his understanding of the damage polluters can cause when they are not held to a high standard. Duncan is committed to safeguarding clean rivers, lakes, streams, and drinking water for families across our state.
Brian Hill, running for House District 98, currently held by Representative Chris Murphy in Dorchester County, who has resigned from this seat effective January 2026, is a strong advocate for parks, trails, and green spaces. His passion is rooted in his commitment to guarantee outdoor opportunities for the next generation of South Carolinians, so that children grow up with access to safe, vibrant spaces to play, learn, and thrive. Hil’s determined to make sure the next generation has the same opportunities to experience South Carolina’s outdoors that past generations have enjoyed.

House District 88, located in Lexington County, will hold its GOP primary on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, with a primary runoff, if necessary, on Tuesday, November 4. Early voting will be available from October 6 to 17.
House District 98, located in Dorchester County, will hold its GOP primary on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, with a primary runoff, if necessary, on Tuesday, November 18. Early voting will be available from October 20 to 31. South Carolina now allows early voting for all registered voters.
