CVSC Board Endorses Bipartisan Slate of Candidates for South Carolina House in 2026 Election
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Board of Directors of Conservation Voters of South Carolina (CVSC) is proud to announce its endorsement of a strong, bipartisan group of candidates for the South Carolina House of Representatives in the 2026 election cycle.
These endorsements build on five early endorsements CVSC announced earlier this year and reflect the organization’s continued commitment to electing leaders who understand the importance of protecting South Carolina’s land, water, and way of life.
CVSC’s political approach has consistently delivered results. Since its founding, CVSC has spent well over $2 million supporting conservation candidates across South Carolina. Through strategic investments and a trusted brand with voters, CVSC has helped elect leaders who understand that strong communities, healthy natural resources, and smart growth go hand in hand.
This year’s endorsements are part of CVSC’s broader strategy to support practical, solutions-oriented candidates who will help South Carolina meet the challenges of rapid growth while protecting the natural resources that make our state such a special place to live, work, and raise a family.

Most of our endorsements this cycle are of incumbents who have proven through their voting record and advocacy that they believe in protecting the South Carolina we love.”

- Wendell Jones (D), House District 25, Greenville County
- Rosalyn Henderson-Myers (D), House District 31, Spartanburg County
- Travis Moore (R), House District 33, Spartanburg County
- Brandon Newton (R), House District 45, Kershaw and Lancaster Counties
- Jason Luck (D), House District 54, Chesterfield, Darlington, Dillon, and Marlboro Counties
- Chris Wooten (R), House District 69, Lexington County
- Hamilton Grant (D), House District 79, Richland County
- Roger Kirby (D), House District 101, Berkeley, Florence, and Williamsburg Counties
- Joe Bustos (R), House District 112, Charleston County
- Leon Stavrinakis (D), House District 119, Charleston County
Earlier this year, CVSC also announced endorsements for:
- Nick Uricchio (D), House District 115, Charleston County
- Rep. Heather Bauer (D), House District 75, Richland County
- Rep. David Martin (R), House District 26, York County
- Rep. John King (D), House District 49, York County
- Rep. Paul Wickensimer (R), House District 22, Greenville County
Together, these candidates represent Republican as well as Democrat leaders who are prepared to serve their communities and help guide South Carolina through a pivotal time. The 2026 South Carolina primary elections will be held on Tuesday, June 9, and the general election will be held on Tuesday, November 3.
