CVSC Backs Marvin Pendarvis for State House

“Commitment to Conservation Sets Pendarvis Apart”

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Conservation Voters of South Carolina (CVSC) on Tuesday announced their official endorsement of North Charleston attorney Marvin Pendarvis for State House District 113.

CVSC chose to endorse Pendarvis because of his career spent fighting for the rights of his neighbors and serving as an advocate for his community, including helping to clean up Filbin Creek in North Charleston, supporting coastal wetland preservation, and pushing for smarter, clean energy policies.

Pendarvis is one of three Democrats seeking the empty House seat in the September 5 Primary election. The seat was left vacant after veteran Democratic lawmaker Seth Whipper retired earlier this Year to become a magistrate judge.

Pendarvis is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and University of South Carolina School of Law who currently practices law at The Curry Law Firm in North Charleston, where he specializes in Civil Litigation and Criminal Defense.
