COLUMBIA S.C.—Conservation Voters of South Carolina (CVSC), a leading advocacy organization in South Carolina’s conservation community, enthusiastically announces its endorsement of Representative Deon Tedder for the upcoming special election in Senate District 42. The election is a crucial opportunity for voters to choose a candidate who has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental justice and the well-being of all communities in South Carolina.

As a proven conservation champion, Representative Tedder has a track record of safeguarding South Carolina’s air, land, and water throughout his tenure in the House of Representatives. He has worked closely with the conservation community to improve energy efficiency and reduce the burden of high electric bills on South Carolinians, securing bipartisan support from his colleagues. Additionally, Representative Tedder has worked to introduce others in the House and Senate to the wide-ranging benefits of electric vehicles. His unwavering dedication to promoting clean energy solutions, funding land protection efforts, and ensuring clean drinking water has made him a standout leader in the fight to protect the South Carolina we love.

“We are thrilled to endorse Representative Deon Tedder for State Senate District 42. At CVSC, a key part of our mission is to let voters know where elected officials and candidates stand on protecting our air, land, and water and on creating a sustainable energy future.
