What is conservation leadership?
Conservation leadership can take many forms, from speaking out at public hearings to meeting with legislators, amplifying CVSC-endorsed campaigns, using your voice in LTEs, op-eds, and on social media, organizing within local communities, and more. What is the commitment?
The CAA takes action when pivotal moments arise to advance conservation progress. Real change depends on informed, connected advocates who are ready to speak up when it matters most.
The time commitment and ways to get involved are flexible and can align with members’ individual capacity and interests. At the same time, the CAA’s collective impact reflects the energy each member brings. Therefore, to help move our shared priorities forward, CAA members are asked to lead at least 3 action opportunities each year.
Who should join?
Any South Carolinian who cares deeply about their environment and wants to take a more active role in protecting it. All you need is a desire to learn and a willingness to share your unique perspective and experiences!
