A native of Manning, South Carolina, Xavier holds an undergraduate degree in Biology and a minor in Sociology from Presbyterian College. He also holds a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. A student-athlete, Xavier spent four Years as a defensive tackle/end on the Presbyterian football team. In 2013, Xavier had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend time in the National Football League. Xavier is experienced in educating and doing outreach to youth through sports as well, having served as a 1st/3rd/4th grade Special Education teacher’s assistant. Xavier spent 5 Years in Asheville, North Carolina as an Environmental Justice Organizer and Researcher for Clean Water for North Carolina (CWFNC).
Most recently, Xavier spent nearly two Years with The Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal Campaign in South Carolina as an Organizing Representative working to achieve cheaper cleaner energy in the state.
