Anna Kimelblatt

Department: Government Relations & Policy

Anna grew up outside of Washington, D.C. on the banks of the Potomac River but spent time every summer in the South Carolina lowcountry. She graduated from the College of the Holy Cross with a degree in Biology but the New England winters drove her south where she pursued her Master’s degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies from the College of Charleston. Her graduate thesis centered on sea-level rise planning along the South Carolina coast.

Anna holds her Certified Floodplain Manager’s license and worked in both the public and private sectors at SCDNR, Charleston County, and environmental engineering firms before gravitating toward policy and advocacy work with nonprofit organizations. She approaches land and water conservation work with a resilience and flood mitigation lens.

In her free time, you can find her soaking up the sun on Folly Beach or birding with friends.
