2024 General Election: Meet Our Endorsed Candidates for State House & State Senate

Fanning was elected into the South Carolina Senate in 2016, where he worked to pass the most significant income tax cut in SC history. He has also been a strong advocate for education and has worked to bring more jobs to the area while mitigating overdevelopment. If re-elected, Fanning will work to cut taxes, as inflation and the high cost of living are the main concerns of families across his district. 

Ott has served the people of SC House District 93 since 2013 and seeks to represent the people of SC Senate District 26. During his time in the SC House, Ott has championed various causes, including agriculture, education, judicial reform, and environmental stewardship. We have appreciated Representative Ott’s steadfast commitment to conservation in the SC House. We are very excited for him to continue his work in the SC Senate after winning in November. 

Malloy has represented his constituents in the State Senate since 2002. Born on a farm in Chesterfield County, Malloy has lived and practiced law in Hartsville for decades. He is a proud husband and father of four and has dedicated himself to improving District 29 communities. In addition to his outstanding conservation efforts, Sen. Malloy’s main priorities include job creation, increased funds for education, and fixing our roads and bridges.

Williams, a Marion native, has served in the South Carolina Senate since 2004 and is also a Deputy County Administrator in Marion. Kent Williams is a tireless advocate for his constituents, working to secure funds for increased broadband internet access and repairs for roads and bridges. He will continue prioritizing quality-of-life improvements for District 30 in the state Senate.

Reichenbach is a job-creating entrepreneur serving his first term in the South Carolina Senate. Before owning automotive dealerships in the Florence area, Mike served for over 20 years as a commissioned law enforcement officer and is dedicated to providing first responders with the necessary resources. Reichenbach has also worked to lower the state income tax, voting to save taxpayers over two billion dollars in the state’s largest-ever tax cut.

Graham has always taken immense pride and joy in his community. As a former Mayor of Camden, SC, current member of the Camden City Council, community leader, and small business owner, he knows times have not been easy for folks over the last few years. It matters now more than ever that we have elected officials who understand the communities they represent and deeply care about their future, especially regarding what our state will look like with the current pace of overdevelopment and growth. 

Johnson has served in the South Carolina State Senate since 2013 and prides himself on his deep connection with the community he represents. During his time in the State Legislature, Senator Johnson has established himself as a leading voice on healthcare and improving public education for children across South Carolina. He supported land conservation across the state, voted to give landowners a tax credit for having a public trail on their property, and worked to protect SC waterways. 

Stephens has served the people of the SC Senate District since 2020. At that time, he was an effective advocate and ally of conservation efforts in our state. Senator Stephens worked to secure Rosenwald School funding in Dorchester County and has been a leader in supporting our state’s agricultural industry and protecting their land. We look forward to having Senator Stephens reelected to the SC Senate in November. 

Campsen was elected into the SC Senate in 2005. Campsen is an avid outdoorsman who has fiercely advocated conservation efforts in South Carolina and nationwide. He authored the legislation that became the SC Conservation Bank Act and regularly led nature-focused boat tours for SC House and Senate members to show them the beauty and importance of our state’s natural resources. We look forward to Senator Campsen’s continued efforts to keep our state beautiful and thriving. 

Davis has served the people of SC Senate District 46 since 2009. He has been a fierce advocate for conservation efforts in our state and a staunch opponent of offshore drilling efforts. Senator Davis has had many environmental victories, including introducing and successfully passing the Energy Freedom Act, which promoted energy diversification in South Carolina to grow our energy grid effectively and responsibly. We are excited to see Senator Davis continue his work when he is reelected to the Senate. 

Dr. Brooks is an educator and Lander alumna raising her family in Greenwood. In addition to teaching, Brooks has previously worked in healthcare administration. Jumelle is active in community organizations like the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce.  If elected, her plans include fighting for increased education funding, improving access to healthcare, and increasing the quality of life for South Carolinians.

Moore is a proven champion for the interests of District 15. A Lowcountry native, Representative Moore was elected into the State House in 2018. He has advocated for his constituents ever since, championing legislation concerning predatory lending, clean drinking water, and veterans’ rights. 

Dillard has represented Greenville in the South Carolina House of Representatives since 2008 and currently serves on the critically important House Ways and Means Committee. Before her tenure in the House, she also served on the Greenville City Council. Dillard has tirelessly advocated for House District 23 families, securing millions of dollars in funding to address infrastructure and community needs. In Columbia, she will continue her fight to improve healthcare and education and protect the state’s natural resources.

Sessions was elected to serve the people of House District 46 in 2022.  During his first legislative session, Sessions supported working agricultural lands preservation and the SC Office of Resilience, which is critical in ensuring our state has prepared and equipped itself to respond to natural disasters. Sessions also did not vote for a comprehensive bill limiting clean energy expansion and jobs in South Carolina and increasing power bills across the state. 

Luck is a successful attorney who litigates cases at various SC and national court system levels. He is running to fight for the interests of District 54, including responsible economic and structural growth, emergency management and first responder support, and protecting South Carolina’s land from overdevelopment. With over 20 years of law experience, Jason is uniquely positioned to represent the constituents of District 54 in Columbia.

Bell was born and raised in State House District 64, graduating from Manning High School and The University of South Carolina. A proud product of Clarendon County public schools, he served on the Clarendon 2 School Board from 2021-2022. Quadri’s main priorities for the legislature include expanding South Carolina’s educational opportunities, increasing the number of well-paying jobs in the district, and expanding access to quality healthcare.

Bauer had represented the people of House District 75 since 2022 when she defeated a long-time incumbent by holding him accountable to the district’s needs. During her first legislative session, Heather proved to be one of the most consequential members of the state House, passing bipartisan legislation and delivering results for Columbia. She has stood with CVSC and its partners around the state to fight for lower power bills and land conservation, including farmland conservation. 

Clyburn began his professional journey as a dedicated football and track coach, enriching the lives of young athletes for nine years. His leadership extended into academia, where he held the principal role at Aiken Elementary and Aiken High School for over eleven years. After being elected to Aiken City and County Councils, his commitment to public service propelled him to successfully run for House District 82, representing Aiken, Edgefield, and Saluda Counties in 1994. In recognition of his significant contributions to educational policy, Bill was honored as the National Policy Maker of the Year in 2001 by the National State Boards of Education. A key advocate for CVSC in the legislature, Representative Clyburn has an outstanding score on CVSC’s legislative scorecard. 

Caskey was elected in 2016 by his peers to the South Carolina House of Representatives to lead the Freshman Caucus as its chairman. Micah continues to serve as a leader in the legislature, championing energy diversification and freedom by supporting wind and solar energy and clean energy jobs in our state. Micah is a strong voice for government transparency and holds our utilities accountable to their ratepayers. 

Hosey has represented his constituents in the South Carolina State House since 1999. A Marine Corps veteran, he was instilled early on with the ideals of service and sacrifice, which guided him to provide dedicated leadership to his community. Hosey has played a role in bringing many well-paying jobs to his district and has advocated for protecting the state’s natural resources. He is also a retired university administrator committed to improving education across South Carolina.

Wetmore has served the people of SC House District 115 since 2020. In that time, she has accomplished more for the cause of conservation than most do in a lifetime. Representative Wetmore has been a champion for conservation and environmental initiatives to preserve the natural beauty of our state and improve the quality of life for her constituents by combating flooding and ensuring clean water. She will continue to do so when reelected to the SC House in November.

Murray is a Lowcountry native and pastor at First Baptist Church of James Island. He is also co-owner of Murray’s Mortuary in North Charleston, a leading mortuary company in South Carolina. Charlie will be a passionate advocate for conservation-related issues in the SC House and will fight to preserve the beautiful natural resources in his district. 

Stavrinakis has served the people of the SC House District since 2007. He has been a leading voice in the SC House, earning a reputation as a bipartisan problem solver. Representative Stavrinakis has consistently supported pro-conservation legislation and will continue to do so when re-elected to the SC House this November. 

Hopkins-Williams is a native of Estill, a municipal clerk, and a passionate community advocate. She currently sits on several boards in her community, including the Beaufort-Jasper-Hampton Comprehensive Health Services Board and the SC Arts Commission. She is committed to making our state greener and healthier and will support conservation-focused legislation to accomplish those goals. 

Erickson was first elected to the SC House in 2007. She has been a leading voice in conservation efforts and consistently supports environmentally conscious legislation. During her time in the SC House, Representative Erickson has secured funding for Hunting Island State Park beach renourishment, promoted environmentally friendly pro-business policies, and supported our thriving shrimping, fishing, and oyster-growing industries. Representative Erickson cares deeply for the natural resources in her community and our state, and we look forward to having her back at the SC House.
