2024 General Election: CVSC Reaches New Milestones in Statewide Election Efforts
COLUMBIA, SC—Conservation Voters of South Carolina (CVSC) and CVSC PAC have made unprecedented strides in their 2024 election efforts, having made over four million voters contacts across the state that encourage voters to support conservation candidates.
John Tynan, CVSC’s President, shared his enthusiasm: “This cycle, CVSC PAC spent the most it ever has in order to protect conservation champions and also elect new voices for a healthier, safer, and more prosperous Palmetto state. Our team has diligently vetted each candidate to ensure they are the best choice to fight for the conservation values that matter to South Carolinians.”
By conducting candidate surveys, interviews, and comprehensive research, CVSC’s political team and board worked to identify candidates who are the best choice for conservation in their districts. This cycle, CVSC and CVSC PAC also got involved in local elections, supporting candidates for County Council in Greenville and Charleston and supporting former Senator Vincent Sheheen for Mayor of Camden.
Through a massive statewide effort, CVSC and CVSC PAC have knocked on over 105,000 doors, made 136,000 phone calls, sent 350,000 texts, sent over 1,093,000 mailers with voting and candidate information, and ran digital and radio ads to support the best candidates to protect South Carolina’s air, land, and water.
